Reunions

Long Range Patrols targeting enemy combatants in Vietnam conflict.

Reunion March 19 -22, 2025

Hello Everyone,

Our 2025 LRRP/Ranger reunion was hosted by Harry and Shyron Suire in Lake Arthur, LA. As always, their hospitality was awesome, no one went hungry that's for sure. The crawfish was excellent as was all the food!!! Thank you to the owners of The Lodge, Gina & Joe for their generosity and kindness in letting us use The Lodge for our reunion. Also, a big thank you to Peggy/Purl and Missy/Charles for all their time cooking and serving all of us every day.

Those of you who couldn’t make it to our reunion were greatly missed (and talked about...in a good way of course).

Veterans: 8

Wives: 10

Descendants: 18

Guests: LouAnn Collins & Dave Delpapa, Peggy & Purl, Missy & Charles, Master Pilots, Dean LeVergne and Jordan Mayer, and State Trooper First Class, Peggy Bourque.

Election - Motions to elect and vote President, Jerry Davis; Vice President, Dave Flores, Unit Director, Dave Hill, Treasurer, Gerald Allday and Secretary, Cheryl Allday were elected.

Chattanooga, Tennessee has been selected as our next reunion location. Debby Douglas, and the helpers will be our hosts. At this time, dates and hotel accommodations are being decided and more information will be forwarded when available. Chattanooga will be a fun and exciting place to visit and hold our reunion. So much to see and do there! Also, we will be able to visit the exhibit of Larry Taylor, Medal of Honor recipient at the National Medal of Honor Heritage Center.

A silent auction was held and raised money for the future company reunions and events. The auction always is fun and exciting the last few minutes before the final call. The silent auction raised $1,340.00. Expenses were $774.21 (that has been turned in so far) and donations were $287.00. A special thank you to Brian Donnelly who donated a handmade swing and several wooden trays. There were personal donations that included beer/wine, water and ice and a big thanks to everyone!

Friday was such a fun day with the arrival of the helicopter and crew. All Veterans who wanted to take a ride did. It was exciting to see the smiles on their faces.

It's always such a great time together and we all agreed the week was over way too soon.

Cheryl Allday
